Quizzes and Surveys Tool Statistics

The Quiz and Survey Tools both offer quick view statistics on performance or question-level statistics.

Both tools also offer report options that allow data to be downloaded in CSV or Excel formats.

View Quizzes or Surveys Statistics

  1. From within your iCollege course, click Assessments and select Quizzes (or Surveys).
  2. Click the drop-down menu to the right of a quiz (or survey) and select Statistics.

NOTE:

Randomized question sets will not display all statistical data.

The quiz (or survey) statistics can include:

  • User Stats provides information on quiz performance including Class Average and Standard Deviation.
  • Question Stats provides information on each question including Standard Deviation, Discrimination Index, and Point Biserial.
  • Question Details provides specific question breakdowns including numbers and percentages of students who selected answers in a multiple-choice question, average grade for a question, standard deviation, point biserial, and discrimination index.

Quiz & Survey Reports

The Quiz Tool (and Survey Tool) allows you to configure reports and limit the release of those reports to specific roles (e.g. instructor or teaching assistant) within the course.  Users with specified roles can then run reports and download datasets in CSV or Excel formats.
