Media Library

Media Library is a built-in MyCourses tool that allows users to create, view, edit, and manage audio-video content. It has a more limited feature set than Kaltura, so IT does not recommend using it to create or host instructional videos.

Some of the limitations of Media Library are:

Limited storage
Limited sorting and filtering options
Captions are not automatically generated by default
No professional captioning option
No video analytics available

IT recommends only using the Media Library for assessment feedback. It is a convenient option for instructors to record short video or audio clips in the evaluation area for Assignments, Discussions, and Quizzes.
