Upcoming Cybersecurity Awareness Month
October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and GGC employees are gearing up to complete their required University System of Georgia (USG) Cybersecurity Awareness Training. IT has identified a need for student-focused training and is inviting students to participate in the LinkedIn Learning Cybersecurity Awareness Month Challenge. New Workshops
Introduction to Copilot Chat
Ready to learn how Microsoft Copilot Chat, a generative AI tool, can help you? Join IT for a workshop geared to faculty and staff on accessing and interacting with Copilot Chat. The workshop will explore how Copilot Chat provides protection for GGC data, how to write and refine prompts, and best practices.
Preview the New Turnitin Experience
IT and Turnitin invite you to a preview of the new Turnitin and MyCourses integration planned for December 2025. During this preview, you will see how the new integration works from the instructor and student perspectives. The session will also provide a review of Turnitin’s features and capabilities.

IT has created a new accessibility-centered workshop to assist faculty in complying with the updated Electronic and Information Technology Accessibility Policy. This session will cover our common video accessibility features in Kaltura and Zoom, including:
- Captioning
- Transcription
- New Kaltura Player Interface
- Zoom Sign Language Interpreter

Video Editing in Microsoft Clipchamp
Interested in video editing but don’t have much time to learn? Join IT in this demonstration and walkthrough of video editing in Microsoft Clipchamp. The intuitive interface and its inclusion in GGC’s Microsoft 365 license for all faculty, staff, and students means you can get started right away. We will cover accessing the editor, using the editor, recording content inside the editor, stock graphics and audio, creating brand kits for your Team, and exporting your finished product.
