Finalized MyCourses Main Homepage Experience

Information Technology (IT) is thrilled to announce the finalized MyCourses Main Homepage Experience based on feedback received from the survey.

The overall user experience and mobile experience have been modified to support online, hybrid, and hyflex courses.

New MyCourses Main Homepage Experience

The new Main Homepage offers several enhancements including:

  • Adding a GGC green color theme to the Navigation Bar for better visibility.
  • Removal of the excess widgets and consolidation of the necessary resource links to the navigation bar for easier access and improved mobile experience.

Navigation Bar

The navigation bar includes the following key changes:

  • Relocating many links that were previously found in widgets to the navigation bar.
  • Establishing “link groups” to group related resources together and improve the mobile experience.

The navigation bar’s “link groups” are listed below as well as the list of links that will be found in each “link group”

Get Help

The Get Help link group contains links to all technology, academic, and personal support services at GGC.

Instructor Resources

Instructor Resources link group
The Instructor Resources link group contains links to GGC’s main systems and other important instructor resources.

Student Resources

Student Resources link group
The Student Resources link group contains links to GGC’s main systems and other important student resources.

Library Resources

Library Resources link group
The Library Resources link group contains links to the main Kaufman Library website and other important library resources.

Upcoming Timeline

IT expects to make changes to the MyCourse Main Homepage experience in time for the start of the Summer 2024 semester.  The timeline for making this transition is as follows:

  • May 9, 2024
    • Apply changes to main homepage and navigation bar after spring semester final exams
  • May 2024-July 2024
    • Update support materials to reflect the main homepage options and navigation bar
