Respondus Monitor is an additional feature that can be enabled to enhance the security of MyCourses quizzes that use Respondus LockDown Browser (RLDB). To use Respondus Monitor, Respondus LockDown Browser must first be enabled for the MyCourses quiz by the course instructor.
The Respondus Monitor feature uses a student’s webcam to record the student during an online MyCourses quiz session. Respondus Monitor uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to flag moments in the recording where the student behavior is questionable. Afterward, flagged events and proctoring results are available to the instructor for further review.

Respondus Monitor is an automated proctoring solution; there is no human proctor involved.
Respondus LockDown Browser (RLDB) with Respondus Monitor is enabled (required) by an instructor for a specific quiz, test, or exam, students will be directed to download and install the RLDB application. Most on-campus computers gave webcam and RLDB installed. Students must access the MyCourses quiz, test, or exam through the RLDB application.
