Reminder
As of this month, the Chat tool is removed for all users. Content topics that are Chat-based are not removed, but the chats are no longer accessible.
IT recommends the Instant Messages tool or the Microsoft Course Connector as an alternative to the Chat Tool.
MyCourses
MyCourses – Branded footer on main pages
With this release, a Powered by D2L Brightspace footer now appears on select pages in MyCourses. The footer appears on the following pages:
- Login page
- Main and course homepages
This replaces the footer that previously appeared at the bottom of the login page.
Question Library – Removal of the question mark icon
The question mark (?) icon that appears next to questions in the Question Library is removed to prevent visual clutter. However, the folder icon that appears in Question Library next to each section remains.
This change only impacts Question Library and the question mark icon remains in other areas of MyCourses.
Your input is needed!
As announced in the February 8, 2024 Pulse, Information Technology (IT) is planning to update the MyCourses Main Homepage Experience in Summer 2024. Your input is needed!
The MyCourses experience must be regularly reviewed to ensure that we are offering a user-friendly as well as mobile-friendly experience.
IT has prepared two options for your review. The options were selected based on three guiding principles:
- Improve the mobile experience.
- Provide easy access to a variety of support resources.
- Reduce visual clutter.
Please review the MyCourses Main Homepage and Navigation Bar Visuals guide for details and screenshots on each of the homepage options.
After reviewing the guide, please provide your feedback via the MyCourses Main Homepage Experience Survey by March 1, 2024.
