Information Technology (IT) issues, manages, and supports the following technology options for all employees:
- Laptop/Desktop computers
- Standard specifications: i5 CPU, 16GB RAM, 512GB solid-state drive
- Includes GGC licensed software such as the Office365 suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, Respondus. Additional software not installed by default is also available, and a listing can be found on the Software and Online Service page.
- All employees must complete an off-campus device agreement for any laptop issued to them.
- Peripherals
- External monitors can be requested and purchased by the respective department.
- Docking stations are for on-campus use only and are provided by IT if a monitor has been issued by the department.
Software Purchases and Installations
IT can install software licensed by schools and departments. However, a comprehensive review is required prior to the approval of any new software.
IT typically does not purchase software licenses for schools and departments.
Faculty/Staff Technology Options
- Computers:
- Dell Latitude 14 inch laptop (Default)
- Apple Macbook Pro 13 inch laptop (Business Justification)
- Docking station (for Windows laptop)
Computers are replaced every four years as budget permits. Users can check their Lifecycle replacement status by filling out an Eligibility Inquiry request.
IT can assist schools and departments with technology recommendations and obtain quotes for other types of technology, including iPads, tablets, webcams, external microphones, and more.
