As you prepare your MyCourses courses for the spring semester, please review the Panorama Course Report to identify accessibility issues and implement fixes for webpages (HTML), Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, PDF files, and Excel spreadsheets.
The example course report shown below indicates that the overall accessibility score for digital content in this course is 73%. More specifically, it shows that the PowerPoint presentations and PDF files used in the course have even lower accessibility scores indicating that those files need to be improved to enhance the student experience.

The course report further identifies the files and issues that have the greatest impact accessibility score and student experience.
One of the examples below shows a course were there are a number of PDF files that have an accessibility score of 0 and possible actions that can be taken to improve the score.
Another example shows a course were there are a number issues across multiple files that should be addressed to improve accessibility.


How Can Panorama Improve Accessibility?
Panorama can help you identify and, in some cases, automatically fix common accessibility issues such as:
- Scanned PDF files
- Insufficient contrast between text and backgrounds
- Missing alternative text descriptions for images
- Lack of document structure: Missing titles, headers, etc.
- Misuse of tables: No headers, merged cells, etc.
