Panorama adds accessibility-focused features to GGC’s MyCourses environment. It provides instructors with recommendations, examples, and training for improving the accessibility of content such as Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, and PDF files. For both instructors and students, Panorama offers alternate ways/formats to consume content. Panorama automatically generates these alternative formats for many MyCourses’ course files and makes them available for download without impacting the original file. For staff who do not use MyCourses regularly, access to Panorama DocHub includes the Remediation Engine, which will spot accessibility issues within uploaded files, and access to alternative formats.

Panorama for Instructors

Instructors using Panorama have access to the Remediation Engine, DocHub, and alternative formats. Use Panorama to make your course content as accessible as possible using the Remediation Engine, which will highlight accessibility issues within your documents and offer to fix many of them for you. You also have the option to have it show suggestions for fixing the issues yourself. The Course Report tool gives you the ability to see detailed reports of your course accessibility.

Panorama for Students

Students using Panorama features will have access to alternative formats, including but not limited to audio files, PDFs, and text files of course content available for download, as well as an Immersive Reader that allows you to completely customize your reading and listening experience in browser.

Panorama DocHub

Instructors, students, and staff all have access to DocHub, which allows you to upload documents for greater accessibility suggestions. Though it does not give you the Remediation Engine available within MyCourses, it does show you how to fix each accessibility issue it identifies. Additionally, sharing a document from DocHub allows the recipient to access alternative formats of the document.
